Greetings Parents and Students,

 

My Name is Mrs. Minder and I am the School Counselor. This is my third year in Elementary education but I have experience in Higher education. I am hailing from the big city of Santee, SC. I graduated from South Carolina State University in 2020 with my Bachelor’s of Science in Marketing and again in 2023 with my Master’s of Education in Counselor Education. I have a passion for serving and supporting the students with their academic, social/emotional, and career growth which aligns perfectly with my role at Kelly Miller Elementary School.

As a School Counselor, my role is to create a program for growth in academic, social/emotional, and career growth. I will be doing this through individual counseling sessions, classroom instruction, and small group sessions. I also collaborate with teachers, parents, and community agencies to reach our growth goals. We are a school of operational excellence with a growth mindset as we inspire excellence in Academics and the Arts.
